Default How far/bad is your commute?

I'm doing about 40mins right now. It can get frustrating when people tailgate each other and not pass, making it hard for the rest of us to move on.

I wish my employer would let me telecommute. I can do just about everything from home that I can here. And with gas prices at $3 a gallon I could save some money.

I drive a work truck and my boss lives about 30 seconds away... so I don't pay for any gas. Sorry.

That must be nice! I own 5 trucks and I have to drive all over the place.

Gas is killing me!

That would be nice, I'd still rather work from home. But free transportation and gas would help out too

Default Commute

My commute is between 50 minutes and an hour. It does suck when people tailgate and don't pass. Or the crazy ones that pass 5 people at a time on a curvy road....hmm...wonder whom that could be?? LOL!! Sometimes the drive is nice, other times I just want to get home like stat!! That is okay, I won't be making this commute forever!!

My commute is about 20-30 minutes...depending on traffic. The drive there isn't so bad until I have to go through the gate. There is one line that everyone is trying to go through, it's like being herded like cattle.

I'd love to have 20min commute - but then I'd live closer to work....catch-22

35-45 minute commute with most of that time spent on that wonderful highway we all know as Hwy 17. From Maysville to the Craven county line has to be the bane of my "2 lane" driving existence. Everything form School buses to tractors. Lets not forget that passing is a life altering experience everytime.

Default Creepy commute

My commute is 45 minutes on Highway 17. I think it's important to point out that it's Highway 17--as in two lanes, school buses, log trucks, big curves, and crazy people late for work all going on at the same time. Anyway--so I'm riding in bumper to bumper traffic coming into New Bern--in a borrowed truck with a clutch--when a GINORMOUS MOTHER*&#$@^# ROACH (you know the kind I'm talking about--those two inch long m-effers that can fly) jitters past my hand and CRAWLS UNDER MY BARE LEGS INTO THE FOOT WHERE I CAN'T SEE HIM. It was all I could do not to leap out of the truck into rush hour traffic screaming my head off. Somehow, I remained calm--but kept my feet up in the air the whole last mile just in case in decided to trip trip across my bare ankles.

Can I get a collective shudder?
